My 5 Favorite Tools: June 1998
What I found this month is amazing.
Best of all, I got most of these for less than one hundred dollars, and several for free.
1. Personalized Email with MailKing
Start personalizing your email immediately; this program works with most databases and even better, Microsoft Outlook and Eudora mailboxes. This is a great
one, with a free demo at http://www.mailking.com
2. Email Program: Outlook
Microsoft Outlook (not Outlook Express, although it is great too, just does not work with MailKing mentioned above). Visit www.microsoft.com and get a copy; mine was free, and usually is included with Microsoft's packages. This program is as good as Eudora.
3. WebTrends Virtual: A Good, Lite Statistics Program
Visit www.webtrends.com and look for their virtual version; it is below $100 and an excellent product for tracking your visitors to your Web Site.
4. ICQ: Your Online Customer Service/Chat Center
AOL just bought this company out, so you better get there quick. This software is used by over 12 million. It lets you set up private chat sessions. I use it to
maintain customer service with my closest clients. You can use it for anything you
want, and it is still free...the company has made no money, but AOL bought it for millions. Visit www.mirabilis.com and get your copy soon.
5. A System
I was stunned this month when my "mentor" asked me what would happen when my business ended. I never thought of it in those terms...and I doubt I am alone. The power is in a system that works without you. It takes time to set this up, and assistance. But until you focus on a system that eliminates the need for you, you are simply working...at a job. Believe me, I know; if your business can't run without you, it's a job. If it can, it's a system...learn how I am creating mine here.
